The Problem
Success came quickly to this law firm and with success their system of processing clients quickly became overburdened. They needed a data integration system using middleware but they didn’t know that yet. All they knew was that they had a problem with their system and they needed to improve it in order to keep up with their increased clientele.
The law firm used Filevine’s case management software to help them manage its growing caseload and to also help them analyze data for educated decision making and improved team collaborations. They also used Filevine to help them generate legal documents and collect signatures electronically. Additionally, they used Microsoft’s Power BI to help them gain additional insights into their business.
However, these programs were not adequately able to help them manage their growing business. They needed a solution that would allow them to easily integrate data between both Filevine and Power BI. The system they traditionally used was time-consuming and required data entry specialists to manage. This was starting to strain their operating costs and they knew that there must be a way to automatically manage this system.
They turned to Orange County software development agency, Idea Maker for help.
Our Solution
When the law firm came to Idea Maker for help, they were frustrated at the time and expense that they were pouring into their case and business management system. When they began using Filevine and Power BI, the software programs were supposed to help them with data integration. However, the law firm had found so much success the systems were unable to keep up.
After listening to our client discuss their needs, we suggested a middleware data integration solution for their business. This custom software solution would help them to not only integrate data from Filevine into Power BI for increased data oversight but would also improve the speed and accuracy that data was delivered into these systems.
Idea Maker chose this custom software development option for our client for three reasons. First, it would work effectively even as their business continued to grow. Second, it was a data integration solution that would allow them to reduce their operating costs. And third, middleware software development was a cost-effective custom software solution that would meet their needs without exceeding their budget.
At Idea Maker, we look for solutions that help our client meet all their business goals. We always look for cost-effective solutions that bring our clients success. With their data integration middleware solution in place, the law firm continued to grow and thrive. They no longer had to worry about their case management or data visualization software and could go back to providing expert legal advice to their clients.
What We Did
API Integration
Idea Maker’s client needed a way to integrate data from Filevine into their other legal software systems including Power BI. We utilized Filevine’s API to create a custom data integration solution for their business. The unique middleware solution can monitor requests and resubmit them as necessary, it can also pull reports on a customized schedule to ensure that the lawyers always have access to accurate and current data. With this solution in place, our client was poised for increased success.
Custom Dashboard
The law firm also wanted to be able to review the status of API calls and wanted the ability to check if any errors were created. To enable this ability for their custom middleware data integration solution, Idea Maker built a unique dashboard. Using this custom-developed dashboard, our client could then view errors and calls easily without any specialized knowledge. Our client’s dashboard was made user friendly so that anyone at the law firm could use it without needing any special training.
